Riverside Faith Temple School of Ministry
The Lord requires his children to be well trained, compassionate and fully empowered in His Spirit and the knowledge of His Word. We hope you will join us each week as we grow through all stages of ministry to a “complete man” in Christ. God’s Word says we are all priests in His kingdom, bearing a responsibility for good works and soul winning. Our classes will prepare you for a successful, Spirit filled life and help you to discover just what God has called you to.
What is an Evangelist who has no message; or a Pastor with no love? How effective is an Apostle without vision or a Prophet whose scriptural foundation is flawed? Of what use is a Teacher who has not been taught? GOD’S VISION for Faith Temple is that of a school of ministry to prepare all the five-fold sons and daughters before He sends them out into the highways and byways. Line upon line and precept upon precept, we are striving to build a glorious foundation for him to build upon.

School of Ministry Leadership
Sylvia Moore,
Director, Christian Education
Vision & Purpose
Riverside Faith Temple was created to be a school of ministry. Our Apostle Joseph & Pastor Beatrice Sims’ vision was to create well trained, godly ministers in each of the 5-fold ministries.
Balanced Teaching
They believed each and every saint should have a balanced education in all the spiritual disciplines. Their purpose has been to teach humility, love and service, alongside prophecy, preaching and teaching. “That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:17
Hands On Training
No education will endure if it remains unused. Apostle Paul spoke about this when he wrote to the church at Corinth that they were carnal babes, not spiritual. He told them he couldn’t teach them spiritual things before and still couldn’t. That church failed to apply the lessons they had learned. In our School of Ministry you are expected to use the lessons you learn.

Sunday Morning
Men’s Class
We’ve come a long way from the day when two loving parents were the norm. What hasn’t changed though, is God’s command that we, as men, rule our homes well. Regardless of how much we received at home or how little, our responsibilities in Christ remain the same. This class addresses those responsibilities with powerful, Biblically based teaching and strong male fellowship. It’s a fun but serious look at our position in Christ. Come and be blessed.
Sunday Evening
New Members
This class will help you understand what is expected of you, as a member of Riverside Faith Temple church. If we understand and accept the rules of conduct, we will be an encouragement to one another and not a stumbling block.
Fundamental Foundation
Every building needs a strong foundation. The most impressive buildings will collapse without it. This class will prepare you for all of life’s trials and tribulations that you might be a man or woman of great spiritual and moral strength.
Discipleship I
There are important attitudes and outlooks one must have to succeed in Christ. A disciple is more than merely ‘born again,’ but bears a responsibility of service to his Lord. You will learn the value of obedience and dedication to God as well as the joys of service to Him. You will also learn to recognize the tricks of our great enemy and those who serve him.
Discipleship II
In this class, we learn of our responsibilities toward the local church and of that church’s responsibility to the local community. Our stewardship requires that we repay some of the grace God has bestowed upon us by offering that grace toward others. We must remember from where He has brought us and assist those less fortunate to obtain His grace for themselves.
Discipleship III
“Taking off the Mask” Facing God and man honestly without falsehood. Recreating yourself through the Word of God as a complete individual, submitted to His Word both in thought and deed.
Ministry Training
What are my gifts and talents? Where do I fit in? How do I find what God has for me to do?
Prophets
The ministry of a prophet. This class will enable you to function as a prophet of God. No gift is more needed in today’s world, and it may be that no gift has been more abused. In this class you will learn to accurately hear and relay the Word that God has placed within you. A prophet must be of unimpeachable character and integrity. To speak for God they must hear His voice clearly, speaking a sure word, uncolored by the cares of life.
Five-fold Ministry Program courses are coming soon. Our goal is to fully prepare our students to function in all areas of ministry.
